Samsung Internet Browser apk

Samsung internet browser comes exclusively installed on the Samsung phones, more specifically Samsung android phones. If your phone is not Samsung and you still want to use this browser, you can download  Samsung Internet Browser apk by searching in Google and install in your phone. People mostly do not like pre-installed browsers, they typically use Google Chrome for web browsing on their Android phones regardless of the brand or model. Though Google Chrome browser is superior to most other brand-specific browsers in terms of features, functions, and security, Samsung Internet Browser holds ground quite firmly with some very unique properties. Today in this review article, I’ll talk about the most special security feature Samsung’s browser comes with – the secret mode, which is basically a privacy mode, but at the same time far better and secure than Chrome’s default incognito mode. You can get easy notification on Samsung Push Service. What is a Samsung Push Service?

Samsung Internet Browser Secret mode

Every smartphone or every browser out there in the market has a private mode or incognito mode (if you're using a Chrome browser) and Samsung calls it a secret mode. Let's go ahead and give you an example. Launch your browser in incognito mode and open any website in the browser. Now, let's say if you go out leaving the phone and then come back after few minutes and just tap in again – the browser will still be in incognito mode and on that website where you were. So, that's not going to protect you from unauthorized access. Now, to secure your private browsing session, all you got to do is open the Samsung Internet Browser, tap right there where it says “more” and go to “settings” and go to “privacy” and click to “secret mode.” Now, here you can use a password, and if you get out and try to go in again, it will automatically tell you to enter your password.

Secret mode with fingerprint unlock

Now let's say you want to use your fingerprint. If your phone has a fingerprint sensor (most phones today come with a fingerprint sensor, even the mid and low range Androids too), you just have to enable the fingerprint security option from your phone settings, and that’s it. If you’ve enabled it already, then the browser will give you fingerprint unlock option to open the “secret mode” along with the password option. And once you put your finger there, voila! It opened. I can see that it works very smoothly, without any fuss.

I personally use the Chrome browser always, and it’s my favorite browser, but I don't think I've used this feature while using incognito mode in Chrome and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have this feature. If you are a Samsung user and you want to secure your browsing experience using a fingerprint scanner or password, then it’s a very cool feature to have in a browser.

You can also create a bookmark as well inside the secret mode. Like if you want to create a bookmark for a website in secret mode, you can easily do that by clicking the “bookmark” menu. The best part is, unlike Google Chrome or any browser for that matter, bookmarks created in secret mode will be available only while you’re in the secret mode, not in regular browsing mode. Nobody will know that you have a secret bookmark there in the browser until and unless you open the secret mode with your fingerprint or password.
